trade rumors: Are White Sox willing to deal Chris Sale?

  • The market for free-agent starting pitchers is thin, so teams are "pushing" the Chicago White Sox to deal ace Chris Sale, FOXSports.com's Ken Rosenthal reports.And the White Sox apparently will listen to offers, Rosenthal writes. Sale, 24, is under team control through 2019, so Chicago likely would hold out for a major haul before dealing him.     Logan Morrison needs five stitches following dugout outburst

  • Mariners' outfielder/first baseman Logan Morrison has not had a good season. In fact, his 2014 season hasn't even been OK or average.The 26-year-old is hitting .135/.200/.243 in 40 plate appearances this season, and on Sunday against the Rangers, he let his frustration boil over. Trailing 1-0 in the fifth inning with a runner on first and second, Morrison hit a weak pop fly to shortstop that was easily corralled for an out. Morrison stormed back to the dugout after another missed opportunity and decided to let out his anger by attacking the dugout wall with his baseball bat. Unfortunately, the bat fought back. From the Seattle Times: In his anger, Morrison slammed the bat against the wall inside the dugout. The force shattered the maple bat and a piece of it broke off and came back at him, striking him above the eye.“Obviously I acted like a 3-year-old,” he said. “I apologized to my teammates. I’m about to go apologize to Mac. I can’t do that. I didn’t want to come out of the game. They saw me gushing blood from my eyebrow a夜网论坛nd they took me out. I’m embarrassed.
